100 Aeroplan Miles for Signing up for Texting

Aeroplan (Air Canada’s frequently flyer program) has an ongoing promotion: Sign up for Aeroplan text messages and you get 100 free Aeroplan miles.

For the 100 miles to be credited to your account, you must:

  1. Complete the registration process (sending your Aeroplan number to 27767 and replying ‘YES’ to the opt-in message) by December 15th, 2016.
  2. Must use a Canadian number registered with one of these carriers: Bell, Aliant, Fido, Northern Tel, Koodo Mobile, Public Mobile, Mobilicity, Telebec, MTS, Rogers, Sasktel, Telus, Videotron, Virgin Mobile, Wind.
  3. Have never registered for Aeroplan texting before.

According to Aeroplan you should have your 100 miles credited to your account in 4-6 weeks.

100 miles isn’t much: it’s only valued at $1.50 USD using The Points Guy’s valuation. At the minmum, you keep your Aeroplan account active for at least another 18 months, so definitely get on with it if you qualify for the promotion and your miles are due to expire soon.
