United Returns to JFK with SFO and LAX Flights!

After a 5 year absence, United Airlines (UAL) will resume flights from San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX) to New York’s JFK airport beginning February 1, 2021.

This is a big news for those who prefer JFK over LaGuardia (LGA) and Newark (EWR) airports, plus anyone who need to transit on star alliance partners to Europe with operations out of JFK and don’t wish to change airports.

767-300 'High-J' Will Be Used

United will use the reconfigured Boeing 767-300 aircraft dubbed the ‘High-J’ with 46 Polaris business class seats for these inaugural flights. These planes will also have 22 premium plus (premium economy) and 52 economy seats. So United is definitely going after the business market here.

Here is the seat map for the ‘High-J’:

True Polaris seats will be offered on these retrofitted planes, albeit not as spacious as their counterparts on the 777-300, of course.
